Authentic Traditional Sushi - Teriyaki Lunch and Dinner Combos - Open 7 days a week

Casper Star Tribune reports:
. . .Strings of silver beads separate the waiting area, in the front, from the restaurant and bar in the back. The decor is clearly Asian, with Geisha dolls on the curtain-draped booths.

From the lighting to the tables, the House of Sushi's main room could be taken straight out of a Japanese restaurant.

Some might say a restaurant devoted to sushi would be more than Wyoming -- known more for its beef than its seafood -- could handle, but co-owner and chef Simon Chan said it is exactly what Casper needs.

"I find that people are very excited," he said, sitting at a black table under white glowing lights. "We are next to the bar and people come over here and tell us they are excited to eat sushi."

And by sushi, Chan does not mean only sections of raw fish. Much of the restaurant's food is tempura and rolls, containing both raw and cooked sea delicacies. But for those Casperites less inclined to experiment with the Japanese dishes, the menu features lobster, steak and salmon.

Open Sunday - Thursday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Friday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
